The Postcards of R.L. Wells

Teresa Burritt posted this image over at her Frog Blog recently:

Apparently there's no meaning beyond an exhortation to seize the day while one is still alive, but it piqued my curiosity. Here, then, for your gratuitous enjoyment, are some of the other postcards of R.L. Wells.

"Get busy living... or get busy dying?" -- Red, The Shawshank Redemption

What's the point of "My tongue is parched in"? I could see that on a coaster, but a postcard? Is it even grammatically acceptable anymore? ("I am in the swim" gets a pass for not being ugly.)

Please put this in an LJ cut to save us lots of Friends page scrolling.
