The Amazing Kreskin

Sometimes I just don't know.

Mom got a letter yesterday from "The Amazing Kreskin." It looked just like so many of the other "Clairvoyant Fraud" solicitations that she receives from Budapest or Antwerp or elsewhere, that I immediately assumed that someone was ripping off Kreskin's name - ever since I've known of him, he's been nothing but a mentalist and a performer.

I shot off an email to Kreskin's PR agent, and promptly got this message back from Robert Sola, Kreskin's Customer Service agent:

This correspondence is in reference to your e-mail concerning the advertisements you are receiving from Kreskin Inc. The advertisements are Kreskin’s advertisement for his books, CDs, reports and other materials. 56 West 45th Street, #1001 New York, NY 10036 is our customer service/ payment processing office. We appreciate your attempt to warn Kreskin of fraud you believed to be taking place but the advertisements you received are indeed Kreskin’s Advertisements.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, sorry for any inconvenience. Please feel Free to contact me if you have any other concerns or inquiries.

So there it is, straight from the horse's mouth. Somehow, it still feels hokey; I'm surprised a showman of Kreskin's stature would sink to sending out such claptrap.

Fraud, or just clever marketing for "entertainment purposes"? You decide (click on the thumbnails below for larger images).
