Flight confirmed

The die is cast. The deed is done. The ticket is purchased I'm flying out to Richmond, Virginia on March 24th, to be with my beloved.

So I now have exactly two weeks to get my apartment cleaned out, cleaned up, tidy up loose ends here, do my taxes, file a 1023 form with the IRS, and maybe take care of one or two significant details depending on how the next couple of days go.

Met with my son's financial mastermind group for our weekly meeting, and they really held my feet to the fire about improving my financial position. I need to make some decisions, and I choose not to do that without SWOICDA (She Whose Opinion I Care Deeply About). So tomorrow, along with toting more things to my storage unit, I will do some spreadsheeting and consulting and deciding.

Got my van re-registered today. I expect that "the man" will leave me alone now.

Waitaminute... apartment cleaned out? You mean you're moving Back East? And we still haven't connected while you're here, this close!

Not to worry. I'm going back to help her get her house ready to sell. When it sells, we'll head back this way and find a suitable place in Salt Lake again. Don't know how long I'll be back there... could be 2 or three months.

Ok. Two or three months, I can handle. That's like when you go to the farm for the summer. I was just going to have to seriously complain if it was for good and ever. :)

I thought she was coming to visit you?
(you should also really go see TK, especially if you two are that close to each other)

She came & went. It was a wonderful 2 weeks, but now she's got stuff to do herself. See response above to TK.

"Close" is a relative term. For Old Wolf and I, who both like to leap entire continents in a single drive, the distance from Spokane to Salt Lake is minimal (you can do it in a long day). For others, and for us when we have busy schedules, it is still a prohibitive distance. Maybe this summer; he'll be gone to VA by time I'm on spring break.

God bless and help you both. Ah, to have someone to share decisions with.

I'll actually be in Harrisonburg, but it's still only 236 miles away! I'll remember that you're over there. Can't guarantee anything, but who knows?
