Will work for Genealogy Leads



Scored some amazing family history material yesterday when I went to visit Mum. I've been working with my cousin on cleaning my grandfather's writings, and Mum had gathered some material together that she had tucked away. One of the items was a tiny, original tintype of my grandfather's mother, one of very few extant. I had seen previous photos of this, but I was able to take a high-res image of it and tidy it up:

Many, many other things like this in the trove. More precious than gold!

She was only 36? What happened? Even for that era, that's an unusually short life span.
