Writer's Block: No place like home

What are five things you love about where you live and five things that you hate? How does it compare to previous places you've lived?

I currently live in Virginia.

What I love:

It's green.
It's green.
It's green.
It's green.
It's green.

What I hate:

It's humid.
It's humid.
It's humid.
It's humid.
It's humid.

Sorta go hand in hand, don't they? Prices and benefits...

::LOL!:: I hear ya, R Caton! If I could bottle and sell the energy from all the sneezing I've done, I would be rich!

DC Love:
- No skyscrapers, thanks to the law against letting anything extend higher than the Capitol or the Washington Monument.
- A decent subway system. For all its faults, it beats NYC's. (See above.)
- High ethnic and cultural diversity. If nothing else, this means great restaurant options.
- Museums galore.
- Basically temperate. We had 100 F weather for much of last week, but also a paralyzing blizzard in February. It evens out.

Hate:
- Inadequate representation.
- Terrible traffic.
- High rates of theft.
- A bad school system.
- Inept local government.
