Writer's Block: But enough about you

If it were possible to clone a same-age version of yourself, do you think the two of you would be friends? Do you think you'd enjoy each other's company or find the similar point of view boring?

Oh, give me a clone
Of my own flesh and bone
With its Y-chromosome changed to X
And when it is grown
Then my own little clone
Will be of the opposite sex.

(Chorus)
Clone, clone of my own,
With your Y-Chromosome changed to X
And when I'm alone
With my own little clone
We will both think of nothing but sex.
-Randall Garrett

Clones to the left of me
Jedi to the right
and here I am stuck in the middle with Windu.

Isaac Asimov wrote that, actually.

Incorrect. Randall Garrett. And subsequent verses were written by Asimov.

I'd only seen it attributed to Asimov alone, in "Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine" and in Mensa's newsletters. From what I gather after just Googling it, it seems Garrett supplied the first verse, and Asimov the rest, but many sources credit just Asimov.

I wish I could ak the good Doctor exactly how it went down. Whatever the case, it's frightfully witty.

By the way, at the same time I was reading your reply from this morning, I was watching "Judge Alex" and one of the parties was named Isaacs.
