Writer's Block: Busting Blocks

It's blockbuster season in movie theaters. What was the last movie you saw?

Terminator Salvation. I went to be entertained, I was entertained. Hardly edified, but that's not what these action films are for.

My youngest son, a budding movie snob, excoriated it for being meaningless and inconsistent with the previous two. Ah weel, what cannot be helped must be put up with, and he that will whip the goose must suffer wi' wee eggs, as they say.

24, currently a partner manager at Overstock.com. He has somewhat of a solid footing, having moved in recent years to the consumption of alternative and independent films. He's very bright, and thinks for himself. But yeah, Terminator Salvation got him up on his soapbox alright...

Heh, 24 sounds a bit late for just budding on that front. To me, anyway.

You're right - in this case, there's a difference between being a teenager who knows everything and someone who's developing a maturity of taste and a solid view of the world's needs and challenges.
